Rebate management has long been stuck in the dark ages: a frustrating mess of legacy systems, paper, and spreadsheets.

We imagine a world where B2B rebate deals are liberated from the pain of time-consuming, inefficient tools and siloed processes and turned into effective and strategic tools that drive focus and collaboration between trading partners.

So, we built just that, democratizing B2B deals and rebates, with cloud-based software that’s accessible, affordable and usable by every distributor, manufacturer and retailer.

The VP will be responsible for executing on Enable’s overall technology vision, shaping its technical strategy, and driving its development. This person will lead the existing teams and continue to scale the organisation, which is currently approaching 60 people, around a third of which are based in Toronto. There are currently four, director-level, direct reports (DRs). These DRs are responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the engineering teams and managing the appropriate development methodologies while driving the teams to deliver.

The VP will keep abreast of and influence technology trends, standards, and stakeholders which will further enhance adoption and market share and will work in tandem with the other members of the executive team to further define the roadmap and deliver against it. The VP will have the ability to combine technology with business acumen, will bring experience in developing industry leading SAAS products, and will develop and sustain a culture of passion, hard-work, and innovation that will make Enable the place to be for anyone interested in developing leading SaaS solutions. The VP Engineering will report to David Hunt, the COO.

The successful candidate will be a good and confident leader and be completely au fait as the representative of engineering at the most senior levels, attending board meetings and addressing executive teams. They will be a strategic thinker who is used to managing senior people in a large and scaling organisation. It is important to be a confident client facing executive and have experienced hypergrowth in a business-to-business SAAS context.

Although the HQ is in the US around 65% of the headcount is UK based, the office being in Stratford upon Avon. The office is around a 90-minute drive from the western fringes of London or Swindon, around an hour from Oxford or Milton Keynes and approximately 40 minutes from Birmingham and Coventry. The expectation is that the VP Engineering will be able to base themselves onsite in this location although there is potential for them to be based in Toronto; either way travel between the two will be a consideration.

Compensation: commensurate with experience and will include an extremely attractive equity package.
