Dachshund Rescue is a registered charity committed to the health and wellbeing of all Dachshunds.What will you be doing?Due to a significant rise in animals seeking new homes post-pandemic, we currently have several projects underway all aimed at the health and wellbeing of Dachshunds. We are a diverse board of 6 trustees based throughout the UK, who meet 1/4 via zoom.Due to an internal restructure we are looking for a new member to join our board to oversea the financial management, this will include analysing data provided by our bookkeeper to present to the board, involvement with cash forecasting, manging the charities investment portfolio.Knowledge of investments and management accounting is desirable for this positionWhat are we looking for?As the Finance trustee we are looking for someone who has skills/experience in Financial management, Cash forecasting, setting budgets and investment portfolio management.Enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment, Team working and people skills, Effective communication skills both written and oral, Commercial and business awareness, Integrity and confidentiality.What difference will you make?You get to champion our animal welfare cause and chance to make a real difference, helping others can do wonders for your mental wellbeing, contribute your skills and expertise to a cause that’s important to you, and make important decisions as part of a team, working within the guidelines of the charity commission, you will get to develop your existing skills and learn some new ones.Before you applyPlease apply through reach in the first instance, explain a little about yourself and why you wish to become a trustee with our charity.
