Finance Manager

MacGregor Blackis currently partnering with an established Food Manufacturing business, on the search for aFinance Manager.This is a permanent role based inGrimsby.

As the Finance Manager, your primary role will involve overseeing the day-to-day operations of the finance team, ensuring accurate processing within established timeframes and business deadlines. You’ll collaborate with various departments across the organisation and work closely with the FD.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the daily activities of the finance team, including oversight of Purchase and Sales Ledger.
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of Bill of Material (BoM).
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics to verify buying prices for raw materials, labour standards, waste, giveaway, and freight costs.
  • Establish and verify standard costs for all products.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide accurate product costs for new business quotes and New Product Development (NPD) launches.
  • Investigate and report variances to the business, including waste, giveaway, labour efficiency, labour rate, and purchase price variance (PPV).
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance profitability by offering new insights into business operations.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Fulfil all reporting requirements for regulators, including HMRC.
  • Coordinate with auditors for year-end and bank audits.
  • Actively manage the professional development of the finance team.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the business.

What are we looking for?

  • CIMA, ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent.
