Join a team of next generation thinkers.The OpportunityThe main purpose of this role is to be the Engineer responsible for validating integrated sub systems elements of the Vision and Lighting Systems, which may be physical components, a set of related components or software into vehicle programmes. Responsibilities in include ensuring the validation is properly planned, the rig configured for the correct activity and that the delivered system is fully verified for inclusion on a vehicle program meeting the programme requirements for quality, cost and time.Key Performance Indicators
  • Test plan for Level 4 Rig Asset
  • Validation status for each project
  • Long term upgrade plan for test asset
  • Development plan for automated test suite evolution
Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, co-ordination, delivery and reporting of Vision & Lighting System validation activities to support the Cycle Plan programmes and Cycle Plan studies, using Product Creation Delivery System (PCDS) principles in conjunction with other company processes as required
  • Contribute to the negotiation and agreement of test strategies for the modules and subsystems and ensure all relevant programme deliverables are tracked, monitored, delivered and reported accurately and on time at each gateway and organise and lead appropriate interim review events
  • Support colleagues in conflict and issue resolution within the Centre of Competence and across functions
  • Lead issue investigation on defects found during validation
  • Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

Knowledge, Skills And ExperienceEssential:
  • Proven technical knowledge of Automotive Lighting and Vision Systems
  • Experience of developing technical requirements specifications and associated test plans
  • Experience of planning, co-ordination, delivery and reporting of requirements to support the Cycle Plan programmes using Product Creation Delivery System (PCDS) principles
  • Experience of delivering technical products through a team, utilising strong people management skills
  • Experience of delivering projects in an automotive or manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and communicate at all levels
  • Degree or relevant equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience of working with automotive electronics and electrical architectures
  • Experience of working with electrical test and validation tools
Desirable:
  • Experience of the automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Experience of building and managing multiple internal and external relationships in complex stakeholder environments
