What To Expect

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Analyst to join Strategy and Planning. Strategy and Planning is a focused, passionate team at the heart of the Corporate Strategy function, tasked with driving growth in equity value for Jaguar Land Rover. Strategy and Planning operates a flexible resourcing model, allowing individuals to work across a range of projects depending on business requirements and development needs.

Given the strategic nature of the projects, you will have exposure to and engagement with senior stakeholders across the business. You will be a part of strategy development as well as early project management teams.

You will support PMO on key projects, working to support development of the business case, contracts and project controls to progress the project through early gateways. You will support activity across the team and business, shaping the question and forming JLR’s position on vital corporate and strategic issues.

From a Government Programmes perspective, you will manage key strategic projects throughout the government funding cycle from early concept and feasibility studies through to grant delivery. You will support cross-functional activity to maximise fiscal incentives opportunities. You will lead key business areas such as Manufacturing, Powertrain, Property/Infrastructure and Training and key global territories such as China, India, Brazil, UK, EU and USA.

What You’ll Need

To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to build and nurture strong business relationships and partnerships with internal stakeholders across our global operations, as well as strong external relationships.

You’ll possess strong leadership and motivational skills that can advance good team working relationships. You’ll have the ability to deliver quality and consistency in a complex, highly demanding environment with a range of expectations on what customer-focused solutions might look like.

You’ll also be able to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style.

You’ll also have:

• Excellent presentation skills; ability to clearly communicate complex problems into simple, compelling messages/decision points
• Analytical/problem solving skills: intellectual and analytical rigor is essential
• Collaboration: active listening, written and workshop facilitation/management skills required
• Ability to structure and manage complex cross-functional activities (finance and non-finance), projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels
• Previous involvement in public sector funding schemes for the private sector (desirable)
• Experience of working in a strategic environment, ideally within the automotive sector
• Experience of working in a demanding environment with highly motivated and driven professionals
