The Position

Job Title:Unified Communications Apprentice

Apprenticeship Course:Level 3 Unified Communications Apprenticeship

Location:Hastings TN35

Working Hours:Monday – Friday, 9am-5.30pm. Some out of hours working will be required

Salary:£10,000

Job Purpose:

An opportunity has arisen for a reliable and motivated individual to join their technical team.

If you want a career which offers diversity, scope for creativity, a dynamic environment with an increasing demand in the market then unified communications engineering might just be your calling. They are seeking trainee Unified Comms Engineers, due to a shortage of skilled people in the UK, you will go through an intense 18-month training programme where you will gain necessary skills required to do the job.

Responsibilities:

• System Diagnostics
• Diagnosing and fixing faults in systems
• Building and testing telecommunications components and equipment.
• General administration support to the Service/Sales team.
• Talking customers through basic user instructions after initial set up.
• Installing/Fault finding routers, modems, and Wi-fi and network switches
• Fault finding line/Broadband/Ethernet connections
• Visiting customer premises
• Working in the field
• Overtime when required.
• Update the company ticketing system.
• Provisioning Orders and associated administration

Knowledge & Experience:

• Essential: GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English
• No experience required as full training will be given to all successful candidates.

Future Prospects

Potential full-time position available upon completion of apprenticeship.
