We are looking for an enthusiastic and safety conscious Class 2 HGV driver to support our Rainham plant. The right candidate will have demonstrable experience driving long distances, using route planning systems and providing excellent client facing service. A strong understanding of the healthcare industry and ADR Dangerous goods training would be beneficial.

Main responsibilities

Ensure timely delivery of sharps collection bins to clients.

Manage the safe unloading and loading of sharps collection bins and clinical waste onto the vehicle.

Carry out daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and maintenance on all vehicles and equipment, reporting any accidents, damages to the Operations Manager/Plant Manager.

Ensure all paperwork is completed and compliant with Sharpsmart guidelines.

Assist with route planning using appropriate system and/or follow routes assigned.

Ensure that appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is used and Health and Safety processes and procedures are adhered to at all times.

Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of vehicles, tools and other equipment to a high standard.

Ensure legal compliance with road safety regulations.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

DBS Check required

Full UK Driving and Class 2 License

Up to date CPC Card

Health and Safety understanding and awareness

Flexibility to cover day and night shifts as required

Punctual and reliable
