We’re looking for a professional with an understanding of risk management and previous experience of ensuring compliance with regulations to come and join the Club’s Travel team. In this role you will work to ensure that Travel policies and processes meet legal and operational compliance and that any risks and safety aspects are managed in accordance with our Travelsmart programme.
You will play a key role in creating a safety culture through effective communication and risk management

What will you be doing?

  • Manage the existing safety management system and use your knowledge of relevant laws, practices and procedures to ensure standards and policies are implemented to cover the Club’s travel risk.
  • Lead on the Club’s Health & Safety due diligence programme Travelsmart including the creation and management of an effective administration system to support the policy.
  • Play an integral role in creating a safety culture and communicating this to LFC colleagues and suppliers.
  • Upskill colleagues and suppliers to increase their awareness in relation to travel health and safety through the delivery of educational training sessions.
  • Ensure all audit protocols are completed and records kept.
  • Ensure LFC meets regulatory standards for all associated Travel processes including taxation and immigration / regulatory permissions.
  • Risk management through the continual assessment of operational risk associated with travel, providing safe travel guidance to travellers, flagging any elements of risk, working with our travel partners, monitoring our travellers whilst en route and in location.
  • Support departments to ensure travel risk assessments are carried out and appropriate control measures are in place prior to travel.
  • Manage the travel risk assessments in the relevant system to ensure currency and compliance.
  • Liaise with all departments who travel on Club business to ensure oversight of travel risk is accounted for.
  • Supporting the co-ordination or facilitation of any critical incident/crisis management
  • To be involved in any travel related crisis affecting the Club, ensuring the necessary investigations and reporting are carried out with respect to health & safety due diligence.

Who are we looking for?
To work in this role, you will need an understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory processes. You must have knowledge of health & safety in overseas destinations and managing the associated risks.
We’re looking for somebody with excellent administration skills and the ability to effectively plan, prioritise and organise. You will be working with lots of different people so strong written and verbal communication skills is important alongside a collaborative and supportive approach.
Due to the crisis management elements in this role, it is important you can remain calm under pressure. You should also have experience working in a large Complex global corporate organisation.
