Who are we?

Go Cotswolds is a family run, Stratford-upon-Avon-based small-group tour operator seeking new minibus driver-guides to join our friendly team.

We have been delivering award-winning small group day tours of the Cotswolds since 2014 in our 16-passenger seat Mercedes minibuses. We have a reputation for providing fun, friendly and informative tours in a relaxed environment (check out our reviews on TripAdvisor!).

As a driver-guide you will be the face of our company, leading the delivery of our tours to our clients, telling stories and creating memorable experiences.

Although preferred, no previous tour guiding or minibus driving experience is required (see requirements below).

What do your driver-guides do?

• Drive a 16-seat Mercedes minibus with due care and attention for the comfort and safety of passengers.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks and legal documentation (training provided).
• Follow a pre-arranged, set itinerary.
• Provide personalised commentary and local information about the Cotswolds.
• Display a pride and passion for the Cotswolds and what it has to offer.
• Show an appetite for and continually develop an in-depth knowledge of the Cotswolds.
• Engage with and entertain our customers from all over the world.
• Consistently offer the highest levels of customer service - ensuring each customer receives the best experience possible.
• Provide constructive feedback to the company to improve the quality of the tours.
• Demonstrate a quick-thinking and level-headed personality, able to cope when situations don’t go to plan.
• Work irregular hours (but always between the hours of 8am & 6pm) including some weekends and public holidays.
• Join our company feedback, training and knowledge sharing days.

What do we look for in our driver-guides?

• Friendly, conscientious and reliable people that have a passion for delivering a great experience for our customers.
• A full, clean driving licence with at least two years driving experience.
• Confident drivers who enjoy being on the road (minibus licence is preferred but not essential on application - all training provided for successful applicants).
• A knowledge and passion for the Cotswolds.
• Highly organised and flexible in an often changing day-to-day environment.

No experience is necessary - driver training and tour training is provided (although a certain amount of self-study is required) - but our guides all have certain things in common: excellent communication skills, a passion for travel, superb customer service and good driving skills.

Requirements:
A full car licence (with at least 2 years experience)*

*If your application is successful, you will need to have a D1 minibus licence (with CPC) in order to become a driver-guide for Go Cotswolds. Although a current D1 licence with CPC is preferred, if you do not have one, Go Cotswolds will arrange full training and provide support throughout this process. Please ask if you’d like further information about the driver/training process .

English fluently (required)

Work Location:
Our operator base is located just outside Stratford-upon-Avon. This is where all day tours start / finish. You’ll require your own transport to get there (not reachable by public transport).
