The Technical R & D Lead role

  • The Technical R&D Lead is responsible for actively promoting a culture of innovation across the organisation, supporting our approach to driving innovation while managing the technical elements of our R&D Tax claim.
  • You will be undertaking the preparation of R&D tax credit claim report, ensuring we have robust technical input, costing calculation to relevant deadlines, initially supported by a highly experienced external consultant.
  • You’ll be highly analytical and experienced with project coordination, using your problem-solving skills to foresee obstacles and make strategic decisions. You will be an excellent mentor who can clearly express complex ideas.

Your profile

You’ll have:

  • knowledge of the R&D tax claim process
  • a passion for innovation and learning
  • a methodical, systematic approach to problem solving with strong analytical skills
  • enthusiasm about supporting and documenting change in the business and improving processes
  • a people-first approach; consider self-improvement, efficiency, inclusion, and collaboration to be vitally important to productivity
  • a willingness to learn, be committed to keeping up with changes in legislation
  • the ability to lead and inspire through forward thinking, motivating whilst providing vision to the business and identify long term goals.

  • technical expertise and the capability to understand how improvement techniques have been implemented and report on this.
  • communication skills including excellent verbal, listening and written skills to hold presentations, facilitate meetings, training and report writing.
