Technical Delivery Manager

As a Barclays Technical Delivery Manager, you will make your Feature Team(s) successful, removing impediments, facilitating meetings and protecting the teams to realise the return on investment which is measured through pace and quality metrics. It’s an ideal challenge for someone experienced in Technology landscapes working with Java, REST APIs, CI/CD, and Cloud with the ability to build and maintain good relationships.

What will you be doing?

  • Assisting the teams to continually improve
  • Coaching the Product Owners and Teams in Agile values, practices, and rules
  • Facilitating Teams’ meetings
  • Understanding the Technology landscape working with Java, REST APIs, CI/CD, and Cloud
  • Driving the sprint backlog and story grooming for the Scrum Teams
  • Conducting Sprint Retrospective meetings post the completion of the Sprints
  • Participating in Post Release Reviews to ensure all lessons learnt on technical things are documented and incorporated in future releases/projects
  • Partnering with the other functions for technical related topics, and imbibe them into the deliverables

What We’re Looking For

  • An understanding of the Technology landscape working with Java, REST APIs, CI/CD, and Cloud
  • Scrum Certification
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

  • Prior experience of Project Management/ Technical Delivery Manager

You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play.
