An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technical assistant in the Safeguarding Adults/Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Team ( DoLS). The role of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Team is to manage the Deprivation of liberty applications , assessment and authorisations. The team covers residential/nursing and hospitals within both the East Riding, including distant and neighbouring local/health authorities. The technical assistants in the team are responsible for inputting the DoLS received to our computer system (Azeus).
The technical assistants support the social work team by ensuring our data is reflected on the system in a timely and efficiently manner; reflecting allocations of work and minuting professional meetings. The job outline provides further detail.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain a basis and understanding of Adult Social Care and Safeguarding Adults, observing the practice of the team and supporting them in doing so. The preferred candidate will possess good IT skills and be expected to input data on the adult information database which is essential in collating data for the performance agenda as well as compiling a complete individual electronic social care record. Any previous experience in data inputting, or Azeus would be desirable but not essential as full training will be offered.
New staff will receive an induction, regular supervision, employee development reviews and training opportunities. The team currently operates between Monday and Friday however a move to seven-day working is under consideration.
Due to the COVID restrictions, all staff are currently working from home where possible and a blended approach is being worked towards in the future and therefore the preferred candidate may in the future be asked to work from County Hall – Beverley.
This role is fixed term for 12 months.
