Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is passionate about promoting good mental health and wellbeing and we understand how important the first 1001 days are in an infant’s life. Our Specialist Perinatal Mental Health team supports new mums and mums-to-be experiencing severe to moderate mental health illness during the perinatal period. As part of a substantial service expansion, your experience could be just what we need to support the delivery our long term ambition for this vital service.

This an exciting time to join the team as we continue to grow and develop to deliver a high-quality mental health response to women in the perinatal period and their partners. This post will work as part of an established integrated multi-disciplinary Specialist Perinatal Mental Health team which promotes a dynamic and innovative way of working, triaging and responding to referrals, conducting face to face assessments and therapeutic interventions working closely with other team members to provide a holistic and bespoke approach to every family on our caseload.

This team is made up of a Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Peer Support Workers, Health Visitor, Nursery Nurses, Social Workers, a Consultant Psychiatrist and Psychologists, with the support of an admin team. The team also work closely with several System partners such as Health Visiting, Maternity Services and Safeguarding.
