JOB TITLE: Team Improvement Circle (TIC) Engagement Lead

SALARY: £38,800 - £45,000 (DOE)

The Opportunity:

The Talent & People Capability function (T&PC) based within HR, plays a key role in supporting our people to reach their full potential.

Within the T&PC function, sits the Team Improvement Circle (TIC) team who are responsible for driving the TIC programme’s key purpose of empowering our employees to collaboratively affect change and develop a continuous improvement mind-set. Liaising with senior stake holders throughout the business, cross functional TIC representatives and employees within manufacturing and non-manufacturing areas, you will identify and prioritise their TIC operational support and TIC training requirements aligned to the annual TIC delivery plan up to and including supporting Local, Regional & Global Convention planning and delivery aspects.This is fundamentally an operational ‘hands-on’ role focused on developing the capability of our people through the ’10 Step’ TIC process within the UK. With a ‘Creators Code’ mindset, this role will play a key part in driving awareness of TIC as a personal growth and development programme that drives engagement within JLR.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of UK TIC engagement activities specifically within manufacturing sites (EMC, Halewood & BAC) and participating non-manufacturing business functions, around which you will widen and promote employee engagement.
  • Confidently advise and influence senior stakeholders in areas of best practice, whilst utilising the TIC process to engage and support leadership interaction with employees at every opportunity.
  • Support in the development, maturation and delivery of the TIC Programme training material for key TIC representatives and TIC participants and deliver them a timely and engaging manner, either face to face, in a group environment or virtually.
  • Actively identify opportunities for improvement through new learning platforms and reviewing the appropriate quality tools linked to TIC at regular intervals during the TIC cycle to enhance the capability of individuals.
  • Provide one to one development support sessions to TIC teams and Coaches, to ensure that they are progressing through the TIC ’10 Step’ process to plan.
  • Coordinate and help deliver inspiring, timely and well executed Reward & Recognition experiences for participants through the TIC Evaluation process, working with key stakeholders from across the business to create truly engaging experiences.
  • Seek opportunities to promote, celebrate and recognise teams through a variety of internal communication platforms by working with internal communications teams, utilising internal employee networks and pro-actively driving social platform engagement.
  • Develop strong relationships with appropriate stakeholders and cross-functional teams ensuring you are making connections and spotting opportunities for strengthening the TIC programme.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience (Essential):
  • Exceptional communicator (both written and verbal) and be consistent in representing themselves and the TIC Programme in a highly professional manner.
  • Previous experience of working in similar role with a proven track record of delivery of successful people development programmes and/or solutions in this area.
  • Strong track record of senior stakeholder engagement, specifically the ability to confidently advise and influence.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of employee engagement as well as a thorough, logical approach to resolving issues.
  • A proven track record of delivering training material / key message material to a variety of audiences and attendance capacity
  • Good analytical skills to identify how one issue can impact on another and put in place the required interventions through support or, from own knowledge base.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office packages.

  • Able to facilitate meetings in order to generate positive practical outcomes.

Desirable:
  • A background in a role focussed on employee engagement, culture or continuous improvement would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the working applications of the common statistical quality tools.
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Educated to Degree Level would be advantageous.
