SALARY: £42,000 - £52,000

POSTING END DATE: 26/07/2022

We’re re-examining our vehicles and what a vehicle means in the emerging world of automation, connectedness, electrification and the shared economy. New ideas, new technology, and new approaches to mobility are our business. Join a team of next generation thinkers.

What To Expect

The Stability Control Systems department is primarily responsible for developing and delivering stability functions such as Dynamic Stability Control, Torque Vectoring by Braking, Traction Control, etc. The work covers all aspects of the controller design from requirements writing to testing and developing to a tuneable condition as well as tuning and calibration to meet vehicle attribute targets. The core group of delivery engineers for these functions are grouped together in one team to create a flexible workforce and to maximise knowledge transfer between them.

The System Architect owns the Stability Control System as a whole specifically covering the inputs, outputs and it’s architecture. The overall requirements are delivered for each programme utilising SiL, HiL and vehicle tests where required. Included in this is conducting Functional Safety case analysis and cascading requirements to relevant owners and responsibility for customer interfaces such as the DSC button and HMI. The System Architect supports the System Owner to ensure they can achieve their cascaded requirements. Strategically, the System Architect disseminates customer requirements to determine the architecture that is required to deliver them and therefore what the requirements of the Stability Control System are.
