2027922AJWe are recruiting for a Student Wellbeing Outreach Advisor in our Student Wellbeing Team within Student Services. You will be part of a team of staff who support the wellbeing of students across a 24/7 timeframe. Your role will bridge will day role, on a 3 on 3 off rota, working 12 hour shifts from 6am to 6pm. You would be expected to work across our main Student Hub on our Highfield campus, as well as Halls of Residences.The Student Wellbeing Outreach Advisor role is an integral role in a hardworking, compassionate, and committed team to provide support and guidance to students who are experiencing poor wellbeing, mental health or distress.The position will involve being part of the Open-Door Wellbeing Chats, as face to face and virtual contact with students is a day to day task.It is vital that you can maintain accurate professional records, using appropriate levels of confidentiality and responding appropriately to any safeguarding concerns that may arise.The role involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and agencies including the student discipline team, personal academic tutors, the NHS, and the police to enable the Wellbeing team to provide effective support to those impacted. Therefore, the person should have good written and verbal communication skills.The Student Wellbeing Team is one of the teams within Student and Education Services at the University. Services offered by Student Services range from an Early Years Centre providing a childcare facility for children up to the age of 5 to our 24/7 wellbeing support provision for students, as well as some of the biggest and best leisure facilities in the area.
