An oppourtunity has arisen for a Full Time Staff Nurse Band 5 Staff Nurse on F21

F21 is an Adult Gastroenterology Ward within the Surgical Division at Nottingham University Hospitals.

Most of our patients are mobile and independent but require IV medications such as anti-emetics and IV drug infusions. No two days are the same but the team are very supportive and caring.

We take patients from the Nottinghamshire county and also the surrounding areas.

We care for patients with a whole range of Gastroenterology and Hepatology conditions and have close links with other hospitals for our liver transplant patients.

Working on F21 can be very rewarding.

We expect 100% commitment from our staff to ensure good and safe practices of care. We also aim for our staff to work within a supportive environment and promote education and learning.

We welcome an informal visit to the ward for you to get a feel for how the ward is. Please call us to arrange and one of the senior nurses will assist you.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for the care of a bay of patients on a shift.

They will work alongside Band 2 Auxiliary nurses and will also be responsible for supervising student nurses .

During their working day they will be expected to administer medications, do all aspects of nursing care, plan and work with other members of the MDT to arrange safe transfer of care for their patients. Along with any referrals that may be required to support patient care.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
