Job overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Clinical Haematology Team as Specialist PA to the Senior Leadership team team based at City Campus Nottingham.

The post holder will manage the diaries. They will also play a key central role within the services taking minutes for the SLT and Governance and is required to work in close liaison with the SLT management team.

Working as part of a team the post holder will support the provision of a comprehensive secretarial and administrative service to the Senior leadership team completed within the set timeframe together with any other administrative duties. The post holder must exercise initiative to organise their own workload within defined deadlines.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Attending/organising meetings, take minutes

Accurately transcribe clinical letters using WinScribe, producing high quality work within defined deadlines

Use judgement and initiative to prioritise the importance/urgency of tasks within defined guidelines

Establish and maintain admin systems/databases

Communication link to directorate management team, regarding consultant leave/service issues

Managing the SLT diary

To support and mentor new staff

Share responsibility with line manager for own personal development

Undertake any other duties which may be reasonably required.

Person specification

Education

Essential criteria

  • x5 GCSE A*-C including Maths and English

Desirable criteria

  • NVQ 3/ECDL Qualification

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Proficient admin experience
  • Experience using MS Software
  • Similar role in NHS/Secretarial Experience
  • Proficient Minute taking experience

Desirable criteria

  • Previous experience with NUH Systems : Medway, WinScribe, DHR, SCR, Bluespier
  • Knowledge of 18WW- cancer Targets

Communication & Relationship

Essential criteria

  • Ability to clearly and accurately convey information
  • Previous experience completing letter/forms/reports/tables with PC Software
  • Maintain Confidentiality
