If you answered yes, we’ve got the perfect role for you!We are a large, friendly and supportive team who offer children an integrated approach to therapy, through holistic assessments and intervention.We are seeking an experienced therapist to work with a wide age range of children with dysphagia, complex needs and speech, language and communication needs. Applicants need to have attended a recognised specialist post graduate course in dysphagia. Training and experience of working with infants with dysphagia is desirable, but not essential. The service provides assessment, treatment programmes and strategies for the home and within preschool and school settings, working collaboratively with parents and education staff.Continuing professional development is actively encouraged within the team. This includes regular clinical supervision and opportunities for both in-house and external training as well as attending relevant CENs. We actively support our team to develop specialist interests in a range of areas.PLEASE NOTE: This role being advertised as a full-time position, but we would be happy to discuss applicants requests for flexible working or part time positions.
  • To work as an autonomous practitioner to provide eating and drinking/ dysphagia assessment, intervention and advice for children and babies within clinic, schools and home environments.
  • To work as an autonomous practitioner to deliver a speech and language therapy communication service within school and clinic settings covering the 0-19 age range.
  • To empower parents, carers and school staff to support and develop children’s eating, drinking and communication skills.
