Children Social worker - Children with Disabilities

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join a busy and thriving Children with Disabilities Team in East Riding of Yorkshire.

This Role Will Involve The Following
  • Responsibility for a caseload of children with varying levels of complex needs
  • Providing emotional and physical support to children with disabilities
  • Providing emotional and practical support, advice and advocacy to children with disabilities and carers as required
  • Ensuring that children with disabilities who are looked after and / or on the child protection register are well supported, visited and cared for in accordance with good practice and statutory requirements
  • Assessing the needs of children with disabilities whilst also recognising the needs of carers requiring assessment and provision of support
  • Providing emotional and practical support, advice and advocacy to children with disabilities and carers, as required
  • Liaising and developing close working relationships with other professionals and agencies to ensure service users receive services in accordance with assessed needs and within a multi-agency framework
  • Ensuring that children with disabilities who are looked after and / or on the child protection register are well supported, visited and cared for in accordance with good practice and statutory requirements
  • Preparing and presenting reports in a clear and accurate way
Essential Requirements
  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a social worker within children’s services
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
