Site Services Team Leader – Wigan
  • Monday – Friday 7am– 4pm

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Team Leader to join the busy and active team at our food manufacturing facility at our Meals. You will lead a team toprovide a maintenance engineering service to the buildings, plant and associated equipment that aims for 100% availability and reliability ensuring safe and efficient production

On a day to day basis you will:
  • Ensure that the necessary daily inspections are conducted on all buildings, plant and equipment ensuring security and safety devices are fully operational.
  • To ensure all statutory inspections are completed on time and all remedial work is logged and completed by the Site Services Department.
  • Ensure that the relevant PPM and contractor service inspections are conducted on time as dictated by the PM system, service contracts or Systems Engineer.
  • Manage contractors with team and issue work permits for site service activities and carry out active monitoring.
  • In the absence of the Systems Engineer ensure that all contractor records are kept up to date, to include insurance and inductions.
  • Work in conjunction with the Engineering Section Leaders to ensure that the fabric work order system is kept updated and all planned remedial work is controlled and completed in a timely manner.

We are looking for candidates who have:
  • Time served apprenticeship.
  • Leadership (coaching & development), planning & organisation skills.
  • Recognised electrical and / or mechanical qualifications.
    Experience of food / packaging manufacturing environment in a maintenance capacity.
  • Competent electrical / electronic / mechanical fault finding and analysis skills.
  • Ability to influence others and work to specific deadlines.
