Logistics Operative

4 on 4 off shift pattern
05.30 - 17.30
£9.22 per hour
Permanent role directly with Bakkavor from day one

Newark Desserts specialise in chilled desserts such as trifles as well as cream cakes, éclairs, doughnuts, profiteroles, and choux buns. We work with and supply to the leading UK grocery retailers and are Number 1 in cream cake and trifle production in the UK.

The Role
To assist the Logistics Manager / Logistics Section Leader in the day to day running of the Logistics outbound area including;
  • The movement of finished products and goods
  • The movement of waste
  • Sorting plastic tray and pallet availability
  • Supporting Kanban system and cages
  • Sustaining GMP standards for your department

The Person
The ideal candidate will have;
  • Previous experience in a fast-moving environment i.e. logistics, warehouse food production or manufacturing
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to work within a team and on your own initiative
  • Good decision making and problem solving skills
