Bakkavor Desserts Newark specialise in chilled desserts specifically trifles, egg custards, cream cakes such as éclairs, doughnuts, profiteroles and choux buns.

Purchase Ledger Team Leader – Bakkavor Desserts Newark

Bakkavor Desserts is looking to recruit a Team Leader for our Purchase Ledger function managed from our Newark site - covering invoices processed from three Bakkavor Desserts sites and soon a fourth, which is being integrated into early 2022.

Main duties
  • Managing a Purchase Ledger team of three
  • Processing payment runs for the Bakkavor Desserts Purchase Ledger
  • Purchase invoice processing (including attaining authorisation for invoices with variances to purchase orders and speaking with operations and suppliers to resolve issues)
  • Dealing with supplier and internal stakeholder queries
  • Preparation and review of reconciliations of ledger data to Supplier Statements
  • Assist with other ad-hoc Ledger tasks
About you

Ideally you will have similar experience within a similar post and the AAT Qualification or time spent in an accountancy related role.

Manufacturing experience is preferred in order to understand the business needs, but not essential.

The ability to work at pace, to tight deadlines and excellent communication skills will be key.
