Job OverviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse on Ward 3 Frailty Unit a 24-bed area, which exciting plans to follow.This is an ideal opportunity to develop new skills and gain a wide range of managerial experience thereby furthering your career. You will be expected to ensure a high standard of care is delivered for our patients and work closely with the multidisciplinary team within a positive and challenging environment.You will need to demonstrate the ability to lead the team with a strong emphasis on keeping the patients at the centre of everything we do.The successful candidate should be an enthusiastic team member and role model.Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate would be expected to: -To combine excellent clinical practice with day-to-day shift coordinationTo undertake leadership and management responsibilities in support of the Senior Sister/Charge NurseTo continually support and work in conjunction with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.To provide supervisory management and leadership skills in a clinical environment which is complex and pressurised.To work alongside the nursing team members, providing support to junior colleagues in the provision of direct care.To provide leadership and role modelling in the development and mentorship of new and other staff.To demonstrate the Health Board’s values in everything that you do in the work environment.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.Interviews will be held on 04/01/23Working for our organisationHywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties.
