An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrator to join this busy Orthotics department at NUH, working across city and QMC campuses. Accuracy and attention to detail are a must. Applicants should enjoy working in a busy environment, you will need to be organised, enthusiastic and dedicated with excellent computer skills. The role will also include mentoring and supervision of junior staff.

The position will offer the chance to work with the Orthotic clinical and technical team. The role is ideally suited to candidates with administration experience with a positive approach to change and ability to master and develop digital processes. If you enjoy a complex and varied workload and have excellent interpersonal skills, this could be the post for you.

The primary role is to provide an administrative service to the department. This will mean planning and organising own work schedule, demonstrating good time management and ensuring anticipated difficulties in meeting deadlines are promptly reported. Day to day tasks involve booking patient appointments, processing orders for orthotic devices, preparing clinics, processing invoices, organising timetables and generating activity reports and answering queries from suppliers and clinicians; to ensure all phone calls and emails are dealt with in a professional and timely manner and to operate the various IT systems used to fulfil the role/department requirements, while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with organisation procedures

Nottingham University hospitals is a busy acute trust based across 3 sites. The Orthotics department is a outpatient and in-patient department based at QMC and City site. It is a busy department dedicated to excellent patient care. The successful candidate will form part of team of 6 administrators, 10 clinicians and 6 technicians based at the QMC and City sites.
