YOUR ROLE

CEVA has been chosen as a preferred outsourcing partner to manage a fully integrated, transformational 3PL fulfilment operation within a flagship purpose-built facility, increasing our ecommerce offering.

This fast-paced 24/7 environment embraces automation and operational best practices. It will provide essential Logistics services such as inbound & outbound customer fulfilment and value-added services, as well as utilising an approved network of transport providers.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious Senior Operations Manager to join this new operation in Wolverhampton.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Senior General Manager you will provide direction across the warehouse operation ensuring operational efficiency to meet and exceed not only our clients, but also senior management expectations.

Leading a team of 8 Shift Supervisors and circa 200+ indirect reports, plus agency resource you will provide management control through effective planning, organisation and communication to ensure all KPI targets are achieved. You will implement strategies to form a management team that creates, sustains and embeds a culture of employee engagement as well as strong development and succession plans.

You will drive performance improvements through auditing processes and reporting mechanisms, identify, evaluate and implement continuous improvement projects in collaboration with internal teams and ensure that all activities remain within quality and budgetary targets.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate will have proven experience of leading large warehouse teams and significant operational experience within warehouse operations, ideally within an ecommerce environment with demonstrable experience of building and developing exceptional client relationships.

You will possess strong people management skills with the ability to coach and develop others and be a skilled decision maker who is able to interact and engage with colleagues at all levels.

Experience of cost models and budget tracking along with strong report writing and statistical investigative skills are also key requirements for this role.
