We are seeking a Senior Operations & Development Manager to oversee all of the operational activities of the organisation including, finance, administration, fundraising, grants management, HR, legal, governance and communications.
You will help develop the strategic plans for the organisation including the implementation of the IDDO five-year Business Model 2022-2027. You will be responsible for the financials of the IDDO grant portfolio (annual turnover of £3million), including allocation of resources and decision making on staff contract extensions and renewals. You will also ensure efficient and effective operations by ensuring that IDDO’s work aligns with the strategic direction and operational processes of the Nuffield Department of Medicine and the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health.
It is essential that you hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline and/or a relevant business or project management qualification with in-depth knowledge of financial and grants management in a research and/or university setting across a complex programme of research. You need to have proven abilities of implementing and/or supporting research management and governance systems within a complex organisation. It is also required that you have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
