Job summary

In this new role, we are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated, detail-oriented individual ideally with compound management experience to work as part of our lab operations team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role, using automated instrumentation to deliver high quality compound formats in vials, tubes, and plates for testing in all our discovery programs, as well as maintaining and developing Curve’s entire compound collection. This role will report to Curve’s Lab Operations Manager, and requires excellent organisation, time management, problem solving, and communication skills.

Key responsibilities

  • To provide lab operational support to the research activities at Curve Therapeutics.
  • Maintain and update the compound inventory in LIMS as part of the management workflows and to fulfil internal requests in a timely manner.
  • Operating and troubleshooting of the automated liquid handling system.
  • Communicating with key stakeholders to ensure efficiency is maintained.
  • Ensure all practical and written work contributes and complies accurately to data integrity requirements.
  • To maintain the upkeep, cleanliness and the organisation of Curve’s communal workspaces, this role will also be responsible for the stock control of consumables and assisting with instrument maintenance and calibration schedules.

Minimum qualifications and experience required.

  • A Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent industry experience (of working in a scientific manufacturing or research company.).
  • Previous experience of working in a laboratory.
  • Strong understanding of good laboratory practice and health and safety compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, time management.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, you will display a ’can-do’ attitude and an enthusiasm to learn and develop.

Desirable experience

  • Experience in managing compound inventories and sample collections and LIMS.
