About the Role:
The Faculty of Health, Education, Medicine and Social Care offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including the Postgraduate Certificate of Learning and Teaching (HE), PGCE, MA Education portfolio as well as doctoral level studies. Our undergraduate provision includes Working with Children, Families and Communities, Early Childhood Studies and Primary Education Studies. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality, research-informed, educational experience. We have internationally excellent research in education, social work and social policy, and have a number of world-leading nursing and healthcare researchers in our faculty.

Following our successful accreditation from the Department of Education, we will be delivering courses that award Qualified Teacher Status from September 2024. We’re seeking an experienced education practitioner to join colleagues in the Initial Teacher Training team within our Education department and support the development and delivery of our new BEd (Hons) Primary Education with QTS course in Cambridge. You’ll work with the team and support students through blended use of technology and undertake module delivery in the classroom. In addition, you will be expected to contribute to the supervision of research students and to the Department Research strategy.

With a Higher degree or relevant professional qualification in subject discipline at post-graduate level and qualified Teacher Status, you’ ll have successful teaching experience at HE level and/or relevant commercial and/or professional experience and with proven record of Research output and Publications. The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, be IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office and have the ability to think innovatively and be able to meet deadlines.
