Senior IT Technician

Batley - On-Site

£25,000 - £27,500

Fruition IT are recruiting for a Senior IT Technician to work for a well-established organisation within the education sector. This a great opportunity for someone who is experienced in IT Support and looking for a fresh new challenge.

As the Senior IT Technician you will be responsible for providing an efficient technical support service across the family of Trust schools. You will lead by example and be an escalation point for the Trust Technician.

What you will be doing:

  • You will be an escalation route for Trust IT Technicians when problems arise or support is required.
  • To provide assistance to teachers, learners and other members of staff in the basic use of setting up computer equipment.
  • You will be installing new software, hardware upgrades and replacement components as required.
  • To provide basic maintenance for all computer equipment and networks, including the connection of new equipment and security marking.
  • Proactive monitoring and maintenance of Trust’s network infrastructure.

What we are looking for:

  • Attitude and enthusiasm to learn is key
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Previous experience working within a hands-on service desk environment
  • Strong 2nd Line Service Desk experience is essential
  • VMware and Hyper-V
  • Experience with Group Policy and Networking
  • Active Directory (AD)
  • Windows Server Administration such as DNS/DHCP
