CAD Technician

Title - CAD Technician

Hours - 8am-5pm Mon-Thurs & 8am-4.30pm Fridays

Salary - £25,000-£35,000pa DOE

Location - Doncaster

Role - Permanent

Duties

This is an exciting opportunity for the successful CAD Technician to work for an engineering manufacturer who have been established over 60 years and have gained themselves a reputation for excellence within that time, due to a steady increase in orders and design thereof they are now looking to recruit a CAD Technician to join the existing design team where duties will include:

  • Managing a number of projects at any one time
  • Assisting the design office manager
  • Manage CAD/Drawing standards.
  • Carry out drawings in 2D, 3D and Inventor Software
  • Developing and maintaining (bill of materials) BOM creation, publishing Drawings etc.
  • General Software troubleshooting and advice

It is expected that the successful CAD Technician will have experience of working in a CAD Techician role previously, have the ability to design from scratch and have working knowledge of Inventor.

  • Designing with Inventor
  • Design in both 2D and 3D
  • Microsoft office software
  • Working with Word and Excel
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable managing several projects at any one time
  • Attending site visits and meetings
  • Experience of steel sections
