OVERALL SUMMARY

Join Close Brothers Group’s Security Architecture & Engineering Team where you will be responsible for delivering and improving high quality cyber security technology designs and solutions.

Our ideal team member is expected to be a subject matter expert in several key security technologies such as DLP, SIEM, PAM, WAF, Web and email content security, IDS/IPS, firewalls, etc.

The role holder must also help ensure that the Bank is responsibly addressing Cyber and IT security in accordance with both organisational best practice and regulatory requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical insight and leadership on design and operation issues for common security technologies

Assist the wider cyber security architecture and operations teams in optimising current and future solutions around a constantly changing business context

Support the Security Operations Team in optimising and operating tooling to ensure most effective prevention, detection and response to security incidents

Supporting Business Information Security officers in defining control requirements for new solutions, and ensuring that designs are aligned with security technologies both current and future

Identifying security design gaps, both technical and process, in existing and proposed designs and processes, and recommend changes or enhancements

Identifying business, people and data risks related to security in designs, working with the wider Security & Resilience team to highlight and remediate

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF / PLEASE APPLY IF:
5+ years’ experience using a SIEM tool in a technical support capacity

Excellent and up-to-date technical knowledge of IT infrastructure (hardware, databases, operating systems, networking devices etc) and an understanding of how they are configured

Excellent knowledge of a range of cyber security tools such as EDR and FIM

Experience using scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell etc.)

Understanding of data classification and protection of datasets

Proven experience in configuring SIEM technologies to ingest technical feeds, baselining and parsing data to an accepted assurance level, with the end result it being used for cyber incident response

Knowledge of designing and scoping installation of SIEM and other cyber security technologies

Proven experience working with technical stakeholders in successful partnership to deliver identified goals

Professional Security qualifications and/or awareness such as CISSP or GCIH

IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:
Experience working as a security analyst or cyber incident responder

Knowledge of payment systems and basic accounting within the Banking and Financial Services sectors

Professional IT qualification(s) such as MCSE etc.

Master’s degree in an IT or Information Security subject or equivalent
