OVERALL SUMMARY

Join Close Brothers Vehicle Hire Team (CBVH) where you will be required to carry out repair and maintenance work on both CBVH and customer vehicles in line with CBVH and DVSA standards and guidelines. Our ideal team member will need to have a good knowledge of the latest vehicle legislation as well as the technical equipment used within the workshop and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Mechanical repairs, cosmetic repairs, preparation of vehicles for MOT testing and taking vehicles to MOT, as well as routine 6 weekly safety inspections and B services.

Performance of all maintenance services according to the manufacturer’s instructions and according to the maintenance schedule/Service processor.

May be required to work shifts, or possibly operate from a mobile repair vehicle if so, required by the business. They may also be required to attend breakdowns.

All visual inspections, adjustment operations, adjustments, operating fluid changes and additions, replacement of worn equipment (e.g., brake linings).

Cleaning and care of customer vehicles.

Responsible for repairing and servicing of vehicles booked into the workshop.

Diagnosing faults on vehicles using the latest diagnostic equipment.

Carrying out warranty repairs to manufacturers guidelines.

Stripping fitting and replacing components on vehicles.

Dealing and resolving customer queries

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF HAVE:
Previous knowledge and experience of municipal commercial vehicle repairs and the commercial vehicle industry.

An HGV Class 1 driving licence.

Tenacity and resilience with a strong desire to exceed customers’ expectations.

A strong ability to plan and organise.

Practical problem-solving ability.

Enthusiasm and drive for getting the job done with evidence of “going the extra mile” coupled with strong client focus, a flexible and resilient attitude.

Vacuum tanker experience

Road sweeper experience

RCV experience

An HGV CE,C1E licence
