OVERALL SUMMARY

We are looking to hire a talented and highly motivated Lead Digital Architect to join our newly formed Enterprise Architecture team. The Lead Digital Architect will be responsible for defining the digital enterprise architecture and enterprise roadmap for the bank, taking into consideration divisional digital initiatives, the bank’s technology strategy and wider business strategy objectives.

The role is primarily responsible for producing Digital Enterprise Architectures that drive the business strategy and meet divisional and bank-wide needs that encompass:

  • Whole-stack reference models and architectures across application, data, integration and technical domains

  • Current, Target and Transition state architectures

  • Security, compliance, governance and other key stakeholder viewpoints

  • Customer-facing, middle office and back systems, and their integration to support digital user journeys

  • Infrastructure and provisioning strategies, including the consideration of cloud native, SaaS and third-party managed services and platforms

  • Providing digital subject matter expertise in supporting the bank’s divisions in defining their overall digital and supporting technology strategy

  • Supporting divisions in maximising the potential of their existing digital channels and services

  • Leading architecture engagements and major digital transformation from design through the execution in collaboration with a combination of internal and third-party delivery teams

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for owning and shaping the evolution of Close Brothers Digital Vision and Roadmap, communicating and managing key stakeholders (Divisional CIO’s, COO’s, CTO) to understand context and set strategic direction

You will establish and chair a Digital Community of Practice with key stakeholders across technology, operations and the wider business to define best practice thinking, ways of working and build an understanding and enthusiasm for all things digital that will in turn drive the necessary change in culture and mindset

You will define a suite of common referenceable architectures, patterns and standards for digital technology services

You will evaluate architecture options and make recommendations in the light of technical, delivery and commercial factors

You will act in a design authority and governance capacity for all things digital to ensure designs are “fit for purpose” and deliver the expected business outcomes and objectives

You will be responsible for producing designs at varying degrees of detail (Conceptual, Logical and Physical) and will support and oversee third party and internal delivery teams to ensure alignment

You will apply an agile mind-set and a principle of continuous improvement in the way you work

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:

Deployment of high volume full stack digital omni and multi-channel architectures that integrate into multiple systems across Front, Middle and Back Office that support Customer Onboarding and Self Service style journeys

Designing and delivering assisted and unassisted Messaging & Chat solutions

Designing and delivering Digital Experience Platforms such Acquia, SiteCore, Backbase

Leveraging AWS Cloud Services and Infrastructure to support aspects of digital journeys that require elasticity, scalability or cloud-native capabilities (i.e. Integration, Image Analysis, Process orchestration)

Knowledge of Identity Access and Management solutions and where they fit into the consideration of a user journey

Experience in designing and building APIs to support B2C and B2B interactions

Architecting solutions including integration middleware, database, front-end technologies & frameworks

Knowledge an experience in implementing front end frameworks such as React.js, Angular.js
