CAMHS Transformation investment has enabled us to enhance and develop our Eating Disorder Pathway.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 8a Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our team. The position is full time.

The Eating Disorder team works across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire and provides specialist assessment, treatment and evidenced based interventions for young people who are experiencing an eating disorder and their families.

The team take a multi-disciplinary approach, having close links with the local university hospital and having dedicated Paediatric Dietetic and Consultant Paediatrician support, as well as Consultant Psychiatry, Mental Health Practitioners, Mental Health Nurses, CBT-E Therapist’s, Family Therapist, Health Care Support Workers. The team has close links with the local university hospital.

Accountable for own professional practice in the delivery of highly specialist psychological care to clients with eating disorders.

To be compassionate in meeting the needs of clients, their carers and families.

To provide clinical supervision and training to less experienced colleagues within the team.

To undertake formal research as an integral part of the job and act as field supervisor to doctorate trainees.

To be proactive in continual service improvement within own area.

To promote at all times a positive image of the service and the wider Trust.
