This role is an exciting opportunity to join a developing community mental health service based in the area of Newcastle-under-Lyme but also working into the Moorlands. As part of the community transformation programme NSCHT are enhancing their services for those with complex mental health problems often affected by psychosis and social deprivation. The role will support those who are difficult to engage and are likely to have complex problems. We are an area with strong recovery values and look to provide a collaborative approach with service users, carers/family members and primary care.

To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team providing Adult Community Mental Health Services for Newcastle clients and their families. The nature of the client group and the philosophy of the team will require the post holder to work flexible hours.

The post holder will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of recovery based care programmes and the setting of standards of care to service users and their families.

The post holder will deputise for the Caseload Manager when required and undertake lead/senior roles within the Team.

The maintenance of positive working relationships and liaison with other departments, agencies and bodies both internal and external to the trust is critical to the successful application of this role.
