Sales Executive - Scandinavia

We are seeking a Sales Executive to join an international premier manufacturing company operating in the West Midlands, specialised in supplying high performance parts and precision engineered components. In this role, you will be generating enquiries and leads to all business sectors across Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and sales to operations in the North Sea, Baltic and Barents seas.
As Sales Executive, you will work as part of the sales team and be looking after the Scandinavian market. As part of the Sales Team, you will be reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director.

Your responsibilities will primarily revolve around generating and securing new business and to develop existing accounts, by identifying and closing good fit business. Within the role, you will also be required to develop and manage a solution-led approach which facilitates account profitability. In addition to this, you will be providing regular reports and updates of account activity and ensure delivery of service to the satisfaction of the client, whilst being a conduit from sales desk to client.

A proven track record with commodity and/or engineered parts to the Oil, Gas or Energy sectors would be essential for this role, including structured new business and account development sales skills.

The hours for this position are 8am to 5pm, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunchbreak from 1pm-1.30pm.

The starting salary for this position is negotiable depending on experience. Commission will be based on sales received from nominated area.

Duties Included But Not Limited To

Enquiry and lead generation to all business sectors across Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and sales to operations in the North Sea, Baltic and Barents seas.
Pro-actively generate new business opportunities, through one’s own initiative and where necessary, with the support and direction of the team to develop the core propositions and generate and close new business leads
Development of dormant and underperforming accounts
Customer interaction to close business of good fit
Development and brand awareness of the company with target customer base across the designated region
Providing regular reports and updates of account activity and ensure delivery of service to the satisfaction of the client, whilst being a conduit from sales desk to client
Follow up, support and action any potential new business clients from the team
Cold call prospective new business customers on a regular basis
Generate a substantive sales opportunity pipeline and to achieve sales targets as defined by the Sales Director
Manage the sales process from initial opportunity through to the securing of the client purchase order, ensuring successful service delivery
Prepare considered, realistic forecasts in a timely fashion to the Sales Director.
Attend and contribute to sales meeting, presentations, and training courses, recognising the value of one’s own contribution to those events
To develop and maintain a high level of understanding of the company to be able to present these in context to the client need
To develop and maintain knowledge and experience of relevant technologies
To adhere to the company’s rules and regulations (i.e. written or implied) and any changes or introductions, which may vary from time to time as deemed appropriate.

Skills Required

Minimum of 5 years proven, successful and sustained sales track record
Knowledge and experience of Fastener or associated Industries precision manufacturing industries
Absolute understanding of the sales cycle process
Success in managing high level commercial relationships within the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical and associated Heavy Engineering Industries within the specified region
