WHAT TO EXPECT


The Supplier Risk team is a function within Purchasing Transformation & Operations (PT&O) tasked with monitoring the financial and operational stability of suppliers to Jaguar Land Rover. In Global Purchasing, you will be part of the Control tower, and be a member of an advisory arm providing support to the Global purchasing teams.


The role of risk analyst within Global purchasing is a high-profile specialist purchasing role which requires stakeholder engagement at senior levels within Jaguar Land Rover.

The key objective is to use market intelligence to forecast future trends and develop appropriate initiatives to mitigate risk exposure to Jaguar Land Rover primarily minimising disruption to supply and cost avoidance


You will have the ability to process large amounts of information on potential risk and identify salient points and succinctly present them to a senior audience


Support with the identification and implementation of enhancement to the risk diagnostic tool to increase transparency and identification of risks to the Global purchasing team.


Take ownership of deliverables, progress them independently and escalate to senior stake holders when required


Undertake and manage ad-hoc project work, e.g. Volume Impact Analysis You will need to have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to exercise sound and balance judgment.

The role involves working closing with Corporate insurance and the Corporate Strategy & Planning team in respect of Business Continuity assessments and Enterprise Risk Management reviews in relation to supplier risk


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Lead in analysis of Market insight and trends
  • Develop appropriate initiatives and deliver them
  • Support in the enhancement and continued development of the Risk diagnostic tool
  • Undertake and manage ad-hoc project work
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of Business Continuity process
  • Lead Business continuity assessment
  • Support the Enterprise Risk Management activity on behalf of Global Purchasing.
  • Manage and monitor Purchasing Risk Register
  • Undertaking any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested

  • Accounting experience

  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Good business partnering and communication skills, and the ability to present clearly and confidently to Senior Management and cross-functional groups
  • Strong written skills and report writing
  • Continuous improvement mind-set
  • Advanced Excel and good access skills
  • Proven project management skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship management skill
  • Effective cross-functional team working experience.
  • Ability to be highly organised and continually focus on attention to detail
  • Competent user of MS Office: Word, PowerPoint and particularly Excel
