Quality Manager required for a well established manufacturer who have over a century’s experience within their field. They operate within a state of the art production facility, they are a brand associated with quality and boast a great team environment. This is a varied role with the scope to improve processes and develop people within the organisation.

The role would suit Quality Managers from ANY food manufacturing background. Applicants must have experience of managing a small team and have proven leadership experience. Quality Managers must have experience of HACCP, Food Safety and coordinating both internal and external audits.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will ultimately be responsible for the quality department on site on a daily basis. You will have one direct report, a quality control technician and you will be responsible for coordinating all product testing on site, daily calibration checks and records, peroxide tests, swab tests, quality checks during production and provision of palletisation records. You will be the point of contact for all internal/external audits, as part of your role you will coordinate these effectively. You will investigate non conformance products or any quality related issues. You will be responsible for coordinating any quality related contractors; waste management, contract cleaners, pest management etc. You will champion HACCP reviews and documentation and ensure staff are working to a high quality standard. You will actively be involved in recipe development and creation of mix sheets for new products as well as specification writings, artwork input and customer liaison.

The Role
  • Day to day responsibility for the quality department on an FMCG site
  • Overseeing 1 direct report
  • Internal/BRC Audits coordination
  • Dealing with non conformances and customer complaints
  • Point of Contact for all quality related contractors
  • Product testing and quality checks through production
  • Heavily involved in NPI including recipe development and specification writing
The Person
  • Must have previous Quality Management/Supervisory experience
  • Will ideally have full responsibility of a Quality department
  • Applicants from a FMCG/Food Manufacturing environment will have a considerable advantage
