We have an immediate opening for a Cloud Engineer. This position can be located at our new company headquarters in Allentown, PA or can be available to those working remotely in the US. In the case of remote work, physical presence in the office may be occasionally required to engage in face-to-face collaboration among teammates or strategic partners.

What You’ll Do
  • Define and maintain the cloud foundational platform technology and configuration to enable enterprise application hosting and infrastructure services.
  • Define and design security controls, policies, configuration guardrails, and processes necessary for secure public cloud hosting in AWS (primary cloud provider) and Azure.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions (Azure DevOps, Terraform, Chef) to enable DevOps teams and provisioning processes.
  • Create cloud resource reports and financial models that assist with charge back and IT budget forecasting for cloud hosting costs.
  • Identify, prioritize, and drive cloud optimization efforts to reduce costs and improve operations, reliability, and performance.
  • Understand organizational needs and use cases for cloud – consult with application teams and architects in solution development and implementation; evangelize cloud adoption and best practices.
  • Participate in Agile project ceremonies such as product backlog grooming, story development, sprint planning, daily scrum meetings and retrospectives.

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience required
  • 5+ years IT/Digital Technology experience, preferably in application hosting infrastructure or application development roles with some coding experience; 2+ years public cloud experience (AWS and/or Azure)
  • A positive attitude, strong analytic skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse teams and world-wide peers collaboratively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
