This will be a fundamental role within this Payroll function and offer the successful candidate a great opportunity for progression into leading a team In the future.

Location: Lymington Office, Ampress Park SO41 8LW, complete with our office dog.

We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Payroll Manager
  • Lead and deliver the full implementation of moving the UK Payroll system to Payfit within the first two months of joining.
  • The Payroll Manager will be responsible for the payroll and off-boarding of all our teams. Ensuring accurate and timely submission of monthly and bi-weekly payroll runs we currently run payroll in the following countries – UK, USA, Canada, Germany, and Luxembourg.
  • Developing and coordinating the payroll process by working collaboratively with the Finance and People Team
  • Full training will be given but if you have some experience with Hi Bob and the payroll system Payfit this will be a huge advantage!

Responsibilities:
  • Own and be responsible for the payroll end to end
  • Manage payroll mailbox
  • Make sure all employees in the business receive the correct earnings on time. Run the biweekly/monthly payrolls across all countries for over 300 employees – liaising with external payroll partners where needed
  • Lead and deliver on the rollout of the new payroll platform in the UK
  • Ensuring all payments and deductions are set up for each month – i.e. Cycle to Work, Workplace Nursery Benefit, BIK payments, Pension contributions, and childcare vouchers as well as any internal payments
  • Manage the offboarding process i.e. Holiday allowance, any fees owed by the employee, sending exit interviews
  • Maintain our HRIS system with ban details, salaries, benefits, bonuses, annual payments
  • Be the first point of contact for all payroll and offboarding queries.

What we’re looking for:

You tick each of our four Payroll Manager-must-haves:
  • At least 2 years of experience providing payroll support on all life cycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, internal transfers, and various parental leaves or a similar role.
  • A calm and organised work ethic with outstanding attention to detail while multi-tasking in an ever-changing, fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • The ability to look at current processes and suggest ways of improving and streamlining the tasks
  • Computer literacy in using Microsoft Office suite, Google Docs, and payroll software

  • Working independently
  • Knowledge of HMRC legislation and processes or a willingness to self-learn before you join
  • HiBob and Payfit experience is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be given
