Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Patient Pathway Administrator to join the Department of Gastroenterology & Hepatology based across City and QMC sites.

Main duties of the job

As part of a team you will be responsible for the audio typing and transcription of clinical correspondence . You will need to ensure all clinical correspondence is typed and processed within specified timescales and that outcomes are recorded correctly. You will also be supporting the Specialty PAs in the management of the RTT pathways and results for patients.

You will need to be a fast and accurate audio typist with a sound knowledge of medical terminology, preferably having previously worked within a hospital setting. You will also be able to prioritise your workload with constantly changing demands to meet agreed deadlines.

You will ideally have RSA III word processing or equivalent, be educated to GCSE standard and have experience in the use of computer systems including Microsoft packages and ideally Winscribe, Medway PAS and NOTIS.
