Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Manager to join our team at our premises in Leicestershire. Our service provides support to adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and behaviours that Challenge, enabling them to live as independently as possible in their own homes. As a Senior Care Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the service in our various supported living homes.

Responsibilities:

  • Staff Rota Management: Work with the logistics team to manage the staff rota to ensure that staff receive their contract hours and shifts are adequately covered.
  • Quality Assurance: Create Audit and review care plans, personnel files, medication administration.
  • Leadership: Provide leadership to the team, acting as a positive role model for Support Workers.
  • Staff Motivation: Ensure staff are motivated, working collaboratively, and focused on the well-being of service users.
  • Service Development: Contribute to the development and quality improvement of the service, following guidelines set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and local authorities.

  • Dignified Care: Ensure that personal care tasks are carried out with respect for privacy and dignity, in line with individual preferences outlined in the support plan.
  • Financial Management: Work within budget constraints and effectively manage and monitor service finances.

Requirements

  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification and be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 5.
  • Have experience as a Team Leader or manager in Residential or supported living settings.
  • Possess professional work experience in Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Challenging Behaviour.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Hold a valid driving license and have access to your own vehicle.
  • Be available for on-call duties on a rota basis, which may include evenings, nights, or weekends.

Experience:

  • providing care: 2 years (preferred)
  • supervisory: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care and above (preferred)
