LOCATION(S): Predominantly home working with some requirement to attend HQ Northallerton.
RANK/GRADE: SC6 £26,865 - £28,725 pro rata salary
HOURS: Part time- 23 hours per week - Standard Office Hours (flexible working considered)


We have an exciting opportunity to join the EnableNY Business Design and Assurance (BDA) Information Management Department, working within the Niche RMS Team as a Niche Systems Administrator.

EnableNY was formed to deliver the provision of business support services for North Yorkshire Police (NYP), North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Services (NYFRS), and the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (OPFCC). BDA services includes five business areas: Business Insight, Corporate Communications, Executive Support, Information Management, and a Portfolio Programme Management Office. Whilst each of the services within BDA are unique, they come together to identify and deliver each organisation’s priorities, the aim of which is to ensure the provision of one unified professional service to the OPFCC, NYFRS and NYP.

The Information Management department will focus on delivering an expert and professional service on the full range of information management matters, ensuring regulatory and legal compliance for the delivery of our services with measurable outcomes.

The Role

The Niche Systems Administration team is responsible for the maintenance and development of the key recording system for operational policing. The role provides an effective customer service for the key operational policing records management system, Niche RMS.

You will be responsible for the maintenance of user accounts, templates, workflows and other administrative activities as well as taking a key role in the development and improvement of the availability of usage of the system to meet local, national and legislative requirements.

The Person
  • We are seeking motivated and dedicated individuals with the following skills and experience:
  • Excellent IT skills, preferably in using Niche RMS or other law enforcement records management systems.
  • Experience in a system administration role and undertaking test management for a technology and business changes
  • Effective team member with problem solving skills to contribute to the decision making within a multi skilled team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills enabling effective stakeholder engagement and customer service
  • Ability to effectively plan, organise and prioritise activities in order to meet tight deadlines

There is a requirement to be vetted to MV level
