Fixed Term for 1 Year In The First Instance


Llanwern High School is looking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational part-time Music Teacher to join our dedicated and highly successful Expressive Arts Area of Learning team.

The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher who is fully qualified to teach music at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. Enthusiasm, organisation and the ability to motivate learners both in lessons and through the school’s extra-curricular music programme is essential.

We are keen to recruit a dedicated and committed professional who will add value to the school; building effective relationships with staff and students alike. If you are passionate about teaching music and feel you would be a good fit for our team, we would love to hear from you.

Llanwern High School is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive school that serves much of the eastern side of Newport. It is housed in a modern building that provides a learning environment appropriate for a 21st century education. There are approximately 900 pupils on roll with pupil numbers envisaged to grow significantly in the coming years. Llanwern High School provides a high level of support and offers a positive and welcoming working environment, excellent staff wellbeing and professional development for all employees.


This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS).
