Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to work within our integrated planning team to leverage audience data and commercial programme briefs to make media channel recommendations that deliver programme objectives.


Understanding an ever-changing digital media landscape to support the development and formulate a digital strategy is essential to ensuring our content is seen by the right audiences at the right time, achieving both long and short-term marketing objectives, whilst simultaneously allowing us to be as fluid as possible.


Working with the local and group marketing communities, as well as 3rd parties to deliver best practice marketing, whilst ensuring the media plans are robust to deliver ROI.

What You Will Do

  • Responsible for creating digital media plans that deliver measurable results across a range of platforms including social and display within the EMEA region.
  • Working with the channel leads to make sure that we are able to deploy the media plans on time and within budget
  • Look at insight and measurement on a weekly basis to ensure inflight activity is performing and make recommendations to optimise it further.
  • Keep up to date with the latest trends on all digital channels and platforms to make sure we’re constantly evolving and staying ahead of our competitors.
  • Use insight and knowledge of the EMEA media marketplace to identify how emerging platforms and innovation can best support the programme objectives.
  • Provide direction on creative best practice to achieve positive outcomes across the use of a variety of channels and platforms.
  • Produce monthly reports outlining what’s worked and where we could improve.
  • Working closely with the analytical team to develop a measurement framework for each programme- identifying what success looks like.
  • Collaborate with audience manager to define target audiences segmentation/testing

What Will You Bring To the Role

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication, project management and time management
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically and identify and resolve problems within the available platform
  • Strong knowledge and experience of digital publishing software and techniques
  • Solid analytical skills partnered with a creative mind
  • Knowledge of multi-channel sales levers, tools and techniques
  • Ensure deep consumer understanding underpins all strategic thinking
  • In-depth understanding of full digital marketing mix (social, mobile, email, content, SEO, paid, analytics and affiliates) including performance measurement against campaign results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A passion for the pace of digital marketing and digital platform evolution across key players like Facebook, Google and You Tube.
  • Worked in a multi-national matrix organisation marketing community
  • Retail experience in B2B
  • Worked with marketing agencies external agencies
  • Experience in identifying target audiences and devising effective commercial programs
  • Understanding of the full marketing mix but likely to lead specific areas
  • Data-driven thinking and an affinity for numbers
