Job Introduction

The BBC Proms is the biggest classical music festival in the world. We run over 100 live events over 2 months in the summer at the Royal Albert Hall in London and venues around the UK. Nearly everything we do is broadcast across BBC Radio, TV and online. We are a creative, innovative festival that connects with audiences around the UK and across the globe.

You would be part of a dynamic team that looks after Communications, Marketing, Learning, Publications, Business and Live Events. You will build skills in your chosen area and everyone on the team has a chance to work at events. It’s a real team effort.

In any single week at the BBC Proms you could be working on events for singer-songwriter Moses Sumney, the London Symphony Orchestra with conductor Simon Rattle, jazz saxophonist Nubya Garcia and the BBC Orchestras and Choirs.

Main Responsibilities

We’re looking for a marketing Executive to join the Marketing Team. This role will give you the opportunity to work as part of the Marketing, Communications, Audience Development and Learning team for the BBC Proms. Implementing a marketing and Communications campaign which will increase the profile and audience reach of the festival whilst meeting ambitious ticket sales targets for Proms and other related events.

You’ll also get the opportunity to work in collaboration with other teams across the BBC, including the BBC Radio networks, BBC Sounds and BBC iPlayer, as well as external arts, cultural and media organisations. A large part of the role includes digital and social platforms and your work has the potential to reach millions of people through our online resources, BBC Sounds and BBC iPlayer.
