Electrical Maintenance Technician - Days only

The Opportunity:
Days only, Monday to Thursday 6.45-5 with every Friday off! What a great shift pattern... If this would suit you and you have experience providing predominently electrical preventative and planned maintenance within this busy engineering company based on the outskirts of Exeter. There will also be some mechanical fault finding and fixing . If you are a REALLY hands on Technician or Engineer who LOVES getting to the root of a problem, getting your hands dirty and greasy, then this could be a great job for you. You will be refurbishing and rebuilding some great old machines in order to continue building a high quality British engineered product within this hugely relied upon CNC Machine Shop . Reporting to the Head of Maintenance, you will work under your own initiative maintaining production machinery (including CNC equipment) and site facilities . This is a DAYS role, with an early finish on a Friday. Somebody who can sign off Electrical work is required for this role.

Job Responsibilities:
Keep production machinery and plant running efficiently
Carry out planned and preventative maintenance
Carry out electrical testing to a safe standard on components
Ensure repairs are done to a high standard and report whether further action is needed
Liaise, host and support external contractors, where necessary
Report site facility status and ensure tasks relating to site repairs are completed to the required standard
Maintain relevant logs and paperwork
Assist in tooling inventory, where applicable
Comply with all company rules, including those regarding Health and Safety (e.g. constant use of protective equipment) Preferred Skills:

Proven experience of electrical and mechanical maintenance support within an engineering or production environment.
Excellent diagnostic skills and the ability to prioritise essential to ensure downtime minimised
Conduct risk assessments prior to any maintenance work being undertaken

Personal Attributes:
HNC/HND or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering / Engineering qualification or timed served
Experience within a manufacturing / production environment
