As part of the Value Chain Strategy & Risk department we will play a crucial role in the success of Jaguar Land Rovers Supply Chain and Industrial Operations function by providing new solutions via logistics partnerships within the end-to-end supply chain for all critical components, enabling proactive risk mitigation and building resilience to support the delivery of vehicle build plans.Combining an in-depth knowledge of Supply Chain and Purchasing principles, excellent communication & engagement skills and a positive, highly motivated mindset with a passion for leading transformative change, the team aims to deliver a step-change in JLR’s Supply Chain operations by engaging with stakeholders to find new ways of securing capacity and moving critical commodities through the supplier’s supply chains ensuring security of supply and visibility throughout.In this role you will be a ssessing risk and appropriate mitigations within our supplier’s supply chain to then recommend the appropriate solution as well as leading engagement with a portfolio of suppliers to project manage and implement solutions. In addition to this, you will be working with logistics partners and sub tier suppliers to ensure smooth and on time project delivery as part of a varied delivery team that have their own portfolios, supporting each other and sharing best practices. You will also work with Engineering teams to ensure a robust BOM alignment between suppliers and Jaguar Land Rover systemsKnowledge, Skills And ExperienceWHAT YOU WILL NEEDEssential:
  • Knowledge and experience of complex supply chains (multi-tier), including key issues and challenges such as globalisation, product and process digitisation, drivers of supply chain risk, supply chain strategy development to build resilience.
  • Experience in creating and delivering implementation plans and strategies across multiple suppliers with multi-stakeholder engagement
  • Experience of change management and delivering transformational change projects for process, systems and people
  • The ability to create and deliver strategies in a complex and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Disciplined in planning and managing interactions with internal partners and suppliers in order to maximize the value of those interactions and relationships
  • A strong communicator with the ability to communicate and present effectively with key stakeholders to influence cross-functional alignment
  • Capable of negotiating and managing difficult conversations to embed the required changes to alter existing ways of working
  • Excellent comprehension of data analytics using multiple sources of data
  • Intermediate to advanced competency in Microsoft Excel
Desirable:
  • Experience of using ERP tools to data mine e.g SAP
  • Experience of working in a supplier facing role
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience
