Cranswick Country Foods is one of the largest pork processors in the UK, dealing with multiple customers, the food service sector and further processors. An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Office Administrator to join the busy Livestock & Procurement team at the Preston site.
Shift pattern: Monday - Friday, 8:30 - 16:30
The main purpose of the role is to effectively and efficiently complete administrative duties within the Livestock team, ensuring that all documentation is completed.

Main Skills Required
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Awareness and experience of customer service, with excellent customer interaction skills
  • Excellent numerical skills required - GCSE Math’s Grade C and above
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Ability to Multitask
  • Ability to meet job requirements
Main Duties Include
  • Dealing with customer enquiries via phone & email
  • Creating pig remittances on the Hellenic system
  • Generating reports to accompany pig remittances and emailing over to customers
  • Accurate recording of pig data in excel
  • Exporting pig remittances onto the NAV system
  • Cash allocation for customer payments
  • Cover calls in the absence of other members of the team
  • Cover holidays within the team
  • Contribute to KPIs in quality, health, safety and environment, yields and customer service
  • Highlight areas of improvement
  • Ensure that all statutory (industry guidelines), legal, food safety & customer requirements are met
  • Understand relevant legislation, internal company policies and procedures, codes of practice and technical specifications relevant to the department
  • Uphold good housekeeping and hygiene practices
  • Attend required training in line with current legislation, Health and Safety guidelines and changing departmental operations
  • Ensure that you understand and adhere to your personal responsibilities with regard the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Environmental Protection Act 1990, Site Environmental Permit, company HSE policies, site safety rules, and procedures at all times
  • Carry out activities with full awareness of their impact on the environment, both in terms of people and the local area
